Our plasterers are experienced in the repair and conservation of historic buildings using traditional materials such as lime plastering and rendering, lath and plaster, fibrous and horse hair. We also repair ornamental plaster and carry out parging and other lost styles of finishes.

The conservation of tracery windows, figure carvings, crosses, copings, walling and re-pointing are all aspects of stone masonry undertaken by us. Our stonemasons are experienced in all aspects of the repair and restoration of historic buildings, ecclesiastical and listed buildings. We also provide stone cleaning services.

Appropriate finishes for the substrate, appearance and performance required
We decorate using the most appropriate finishes for the substrate, appearance and performance required by the building or client. We use distempers, limewashes, mineral paints, clay paints, Danish, teak, linseed and other oils. We are also familiar with the use of modern approved equivalents to the above.

Experienced carpenters and joiners
Our carpenters and joiners are experienced in everything from manufacture or traditional timber framed structures to the repair of existing timbers and joinery in historic buildings. The sub contractors we use for stained glass window conservation are of the highest standard and we apply the philosophy of minimum intervention and retention of original materials whilst recording the conditions, procedures and materials.
